Former England internationals David Beckham, Alex Scott, Ian Wright, Fara Williams and Rio Ferdinand came together, alongside a cohort of off-field talent, for the England’s squad announcement vid.

Alongside Sky Brown, Chunkz, Filly, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Munya Chawawa and Elz, the former England players teamed up with British song-writer Joy Crookes for a unique squad announcement.

Brit nominated Crookes constructed the story behind “Our England”, a film that delivers a clear message of community, youth and sisterhood.

With swift old school Nike ad camera movements, an en vogue 1:1 fancam-esque ratio, and an array of stars aimed at England’s youth; the vid is destined to rally the country’s youngsters to get behind the Lionesses.

Particularly as the film follows the journey of a young England fan as she races across the capital on the hunt for England stickers (RIP Panini), before finally ending up at Wembley to complete her sticker album, with a little help from Davey Becks.

Designed by London-based creator Kelly Anna, the bespoke sticker album details Sarina Wiegman’s 23-woman squad.

The Lionesses’ manager said: “The squad announcement is a big moment towards what we hope will be a memorable summer.

“Excitement is starting to build and the possibilities associated to a major tournament held at home become more real. The women’s game has been on a remarkable journey and the EUROs are a chance for everyone to come together again. We will celebrate not only all of the teams taking part but the game’s growth as one football family.

“We’re so grateful to those who came before, the next generation and famous faces who have given their time support this announcement, and I thank the fans up and down the country for their support so far. The 23 players selected and my support team will do our upmost to make England proud.”
